The Great Wood Centre
Located in another of Somerset’s spectacular Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Quantock Hills, the beautiful Great Wood Camp immerses students in nature and creates lasting memories that enhance not only an educational but an almost spiritual growth. Set at the foot of the Quantock hills. It is surrounded by an array of trees and is swarming with wildlife. We rent the site from Great Wood Trust and have had a long working partnership for nearly 50 years! The site is only 9 miles from Bridgwater and 12 miles to Taunton. There is a new Quantock adventure to be had every single day and if you are lucky you will hit our ‘Dragon Fly’ festival week when the baby dragon fly’s hatch along the stream. With a fabulous outdoor heated swimming pool being the perfect way to round off a busy day’s exploring, followed by a campfire under the stars we are quite sure you will love Great Wood!
The en-suite cabin accommodation for 76, surrounded by lush green forest and cabins sleep 4 – 11 people with a mixture of bunks and single beds available. The Great Wood Trust Contact Us
